Default Wireless Problem

i recently set up a wireless network. 1 modem/router a wireless enabled laptop and my computer with a wireless lan card in it

when my router turns on both computers will conect to the network fine and will run ok. but when one of those computers is turned off then turned on again that computer will not conect to the router until the other computer disconnects from the router. any help will b good thanks.

laptop : Broadcom 802.11g
xp home sp2

Pc: belkin 802.11g
xp pro sp2

the router is belkin 802.11g modem/router
