you know, if you live in a larger town, you might have a wireless coffee shop chilling somewhere. Usually, they don't charge to connect to it, but the recommend that you buy a cup of joe, just to be generous. There are many of these in large towns, just look around. Be carefull like some are saying though, connecting to unsecured wireless networks that don't belong to you, but, if they get mad at you for doing it, there are many ways around it ("I swear! I thought I was connected to my wireless connection!") btw = it's kind of their fault if they didn't want anybody on their network, they are the ones that didn't secure it!
