WinXP freezes when wireless card inserted

Hello,
I have a Dell laptop running wind xp that freezes immediately and i mean right away (not even a half second goes by) at any point (at start up, at desktop, etc...) after I insert the wireless card. Ive bought 3 wireless cards, of different brands and same thing happens with each. I get no error message, the system just freezes. The laptop works fine with any other type of internet connection, only wireless gives the trouble.
PLEASE, PLEASE HELP. Thanks in advance.

Check the event logs and see whats errors are popping up when the card is inserted

A pin in your PCMIA slot is shorting out




I have the same issue, only I have one problem. I have 2 years of warranty left on the laptop, I can easily fix it myself, but I loose my warranty.
