Default Windows XP 64-bit TRIAL

Microsoft is offering a trial version of Windows XP 64-bit for 360 days. It says this version of Windows is only available to AMD64 and AMD Opteron users.

Has anyone tried this yet? Should I download it? I am currently using Windows XP Pro... Is this file an upgrade or a standalone?

Yes... It did help. Thx man.

For some reason gaming performance dropped with the 64-bit preview. I think I am going to stick with XP 32-bit until the 64-bit version reaches its final stages.

I wonder why the hell it would loose upto 50% of the frames when it is running in 64-bit!

He did mention (in the article) that at the time the 64-bit Radeon drivers were not released, so he had to switch to the GeForce for the tests.

Do you guys think it could have been the GeForce drivers? ATI has just released 64-bit drivers, so maybe nVidia has updated theirs?
