I keep reading about how Microsoft is going to be combatible with USB 2.0 and already sorta is with SP1, but all the articles related to XP and USB 2.0 say that Microsoft doesn't fully support and probably won't. They do on the other hand support firewire, but no PC that I know of comes with 6-port firewire other than Apple. Why is Microsoft supporting firewire instead of USB 2.0? If anyone has heard different on this matter please correct me.
thanks, ACE

ps. what is the difference between IEEE 1394 and i.link?

i dont know what i.link is either, but my pc came with 3 firewire ports on it (a pci card) and it had win xp on it

well XP is probbably the most compatible of all the Windows OS's but a lot of the time it does not recieve an up-to-date driver from the device when it's first plugged in, and a 'bug' that i've found is that sometimes if you unplug it then plug it in again it reinstalls the driver thinking it's a completely new device. it's not really a problem but can be annoying
