Hi people. Can anyone tell me if this hard drive http://www.dabs.com/uk/ProductView?quicklinx=2G00
will work in my system http://support.jp.dell.com/docs/systems/ban_gx1/specs.htm

I am not very good with computers and am not sure what ATA is or if my system has it.

Any help would be appreciated

That hard drive uses ATA100 which will work on all systems today. It is very common. IDE/ATA in Ultra DMA doubles transition clocking which increase it's efficiency. So yes, it will work in that system.
