Default Will this setup work?

Im trying to put together a rough idea for a relatively cheap pc for my friend. i wanted to know if it sounds good or if its compatible. keep in mind i did this at 3 am so it may be messed up, heres what i got:

Asus P4S8X-X mobo

P4 2.26 GHZ 512K 533MHZ

gigabyte radeon 9600se 128mb ddr agp8x w/ crt & tvo

$39.00 each (2 of them)
kingston 256MB DDR333 (pc2700)

western digital 80gb 7200rpm 8mb cache

blue aspire x-alien turbo case w/ 420w p4 silent dual fan PSU

black mitsumi 3.5" floppy drive

black Hitachi / Lg 16x Dvd Cdrw32x10x40x Combo

you could save $90 switching to a AMD motherboard and XP2500+

but the parts i listed here, theyll work together no problem right?
i should also mention, im planning on using my friends monitor from her other computer, it was a sony vaio. i think it wont cause any problems using it. but id like to make sure before i went ahead and placed orders for the parts.
