will this improve monitor quality?

my 6600gt has 1 DVI output and one VGA output.

My monitor is analog and therefore will only work with a VGA cable so I have it plugged into the VGA connector on my video card.

However a DVI to VGA adapter was included with my video card, I think they are called a "dongle".

Anyhow, should I put the DVI to VGA adapter on my video cards DVI connector, and plug in my VGA cable into it.

Would that make a difference for my picture or would it be the same?

I dont think it would help cause your monitor is analog. Read this link for more info. Time to buy an LCD....

is tft and lcd monitors the same thing?
