Default Why is it so hard being lazy?

ok so ive got my old system set up as a media centre in my front room, fully hooked up and everythign and working great. the only anoying thing is i have to get up to turn the comp on + off lol.

ive tried searching everywhere but is there any remote way to turn on and off your pc ?

preferably i dont want to install another card into the comp or anythign like, USB input would be perfect (infa red / bluetooth etc )

Wireless keyboard perhaps? Just a cheap one, with a power on/off button. USB too.

Most of them have at least a 4m range, usually up to 10m.

Well I dunno about remote-sized, but how about something like this?

Wolf King DK-2388U, Warrior Black Circular Gaming Keyboard, USB, Wired, Black - Scan.co.uk

Don't think it's wireless though.

Leave it on?

usually media centers are low power pc's that are left on.

or you can get a media center contol unit with remote and lcd display.

I never had a media center system or OS, but there isn't anyway to turn it off with a mouse? Or do you not use mice for those pc's? Sorry for being such a noob.
