My system was crashing and I downloaded mb5 it says my CPU is running at 120f.....If I have a few programs going it will jump up to around 150f then will crash.

What can I do to fix this?

150F is really pushing it, 170 is waaaaay beyond where you want to be. What are your cooling solutions like? Heatsink/fan, fan layout in case?

I have an Alien Aspire full tower case 7 fans total
2 in front 2 in back 2 on top and one on the side
A 30dollar heatsink that was suppost to be realy good
I think the CPU has ran hot from the begining.
Could it be a bad CPU?

no, CPUs are hot. Period. The issue is in your cooling somewhere. Did you assemble this PC yourself? If so, did you apply a good thermal paste?

The fan configuration in that case should be:
2 front fans set to intake
2 rear fans set to exhaust
2 top fans set to exhaust
1 side fan set to intake
And the fan on the heatsink should be blowing down ON to the heatsink. There is a fan on it, yea?

Your case cooling should be fine, so that leads me to believe the problem lies in your heatsink/fan on your processor. You may wanna take it out, clean it, reapply some thermal compound and reassemble.

Yes I did put it together myself and yes Your right my heatsink fan is backwards and I am an idiot. Thanks
