Default Why is Future Shop expensive?

You guys in America are so lucky. Look what I'm reduced to when I want to buy a video card:

I didn't realize that it had 768MB of RAM on the card alone, added onto the machine that the person would use (typically 2GB), that's a nice gaming machine

Considering for the price of a 7600GT I would have to get a MX5500.

ahh, thats fun, just walkin up to a random pc shop and just start askin terms and crap usin weird words like fsb, ram, cpu, gpu, vga, all those 3 letter abbreviations. the funniest one ive gotten so far is asking what the difference in preformance between ata133 and sata150, and this jackass said well duh, ata has more wires so its faster. what a tard. but yea, i bet you that there is a local shop nearby somewhere that has the parts for wayyy cheaper, just got to do some phone book browsing.

They don't even know jack about LCD monitors either, something I'm buying from them tomorrow. I asked what monitor had the best response time and contrast ratio, and they didn't know what i meant.

Canadian dollars are worth less than American dollars, that is why the numbers are bigger.

Surely you already know this...

800 Canadian dollars = 687.108134 U.S. dollars

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125049

Big deal, a whole $20 more.

If you want lower numbers, move to America. If you want higher numbers, move to Japan.

Australia actually has something to complain about.

I like using Tiger Direct for any PC Parts. When it comes to deals, Future Shop seems to rule. When it comes to components, I've been impressed with Tiger Direct.

Although Future Shop has good deals on things like La Cie Porsche external drives, I much prefer to make my own frankendrive (:
