Default Why AMD

People say the AMD is much better for gaming than the Intel CPUs.. what exactly makes them superior in gaming over the Intel? And why is intel better at apps?

Intel is better at apps because of hyper threading, which allows it to actually multitask. AMD make processors with superior archetecture, making them better at even lower hertz (GHz). Hypertransport/On-die memory controller increases RAM performance, which is really important in games. Intel does not have this, yet.

Theres more to it... but I cant remember.
Iraq... whee.

amd has shorter pipelines, which in short is why they're better at gaming. intel has hyperthreading, which allows the cpu to act as 2 cpu's.
