Hi,
Recently my hard drive spun out of control and went to chatter heaven. After installing a new harddrive and formatting the computer from scratch, I noticed that the Zip Drive got lost along the way. I tried to install the software and drivers, but wherever it is, it doesn't seem to be want to come back.
I have tried disconnecting the power, the position on the cable, the jumpers, and removal/reinstalling of the software. Nothing works, except ..., I put a disk into the drive and it spins up. Then it stops.
I like the zip drive, and have used it extensively. It was working fine prior to the hard drive melt down. It was on the same cable, which I replaced since I didn't want to take any chances. I have installed another 3rd brand new cable as a precautionary measure. I wonder where all of my Zip has gone? Has anyone any ideas as what else I can do with troubleshooting it?
