....in all seriousness....no one but hardware manufacturers can determine this kind of stuff dude. Probably 1-2 years before full assimilation has occured.

It's also based a lot on the consumer, they aren't to just obliterate AGP from the market if 80% of the market still has an AGP board or card.

I think its based entirely on the consumer. As long as AGP based motherboards are still popular, companies will have no choice but to produce cards on the AGP bus in order to hit the major sales demographic. The more people migrate to PCIe, the more R&D you will see from the major companies.

consumer does play a role, but they will continually decrease the amount of AGP cards they make thus forcing us to make the move to PCI-E if you want to upgrade. They should have just made a revamped AGP bus, Advanced Graphics Port has a nice ring to it
