Whats the point of having 2 video cards?

It's retarded, the whole concept of it. If they really want 2 GPUs, they should integrate both on the same bloody card. Will be much more efficient than 2 different cards :rolleyes:


Ya I agree. I think its more a fad, sales thing, then something that makes a ton of sense. It essentially splits the screen, and is very expensive to justify. Guys with 2 6800gts probably aren't much happier than a guy with one. (right now that is)
 
About about 3DFX? no one remembers SLI voodoo2's... Nvidia bought 3DFX.
Yeah I remember those, what about em.

Back then SLI was a little different though, was still two cards but how they worked wasnt the same.
