Whats a good power supply??

im not sure how much power i need or what i should be spending


i will be running 2 hd's, 3.2 gighz intel, 1 gig ram, 6600GT video card... eventually ill be upgrading the processor and vid card, and maybe adding anohter HD one day

should 480w be alright? what brands are good? i was looking into a thermallake for 56 bucks

I'd go as high as you can go on the PSU. At 3.2 you need some POWER.

I recomend as with anyone who asks about PSU's is the thermaltake dual fan series of psu's, they have high wattages and a reliable. I would recomend a 480watt Active PFC version because you can adjust the speed through a controller packed with it. It also does a great job of keeping the PSU and System cool! The one you stated above is the exact one im talking about.

I would get the highest watt PS you can afford 500-600 watt .
Enermax PS have never give me any problems plus 3 year warranty .

ok, well i HAD to order last night before i get a chance to read this adivce... i ended up with an antec 480W, it was expensive (87$) but from what people have told me its a great brand and thell last a very long time, thanks for the input guys!
