Default What's the difference?

What's the difference between these two hard drives:
http://www.compusa.com/products/compare.asp?

I realize that one is IDE and one is SATA, but what is the difference? Is one faster or something?

The SATA will beat it out, but not by an insane amount. Unless you don't mind the extra funds, I would say that for 80 bucks it isn't worth upgrading to SATA.

The one is 133mb per second
the SATA one is 150 mb per second

Don't buy a SATA until their speed increaes.

Dont buy a SATA.....why the hell not! They are only 5 bucks more.. Why would you want IDE...those speeds will never increase... Your telling him not to get something thats "BETTER" intil it gets better, but your suggesting something thats alot slower, that just wont get faster...

Always get SATA.

read the thread b4 posting stupid crap.

there talking about 2 specific drives, that are exactly the same 250gb maxtor's, except 1 is sata. and the ATA133 drive is only $100, were as the SATA is $180.

so unless u have cash to burn, an almost 2x price increase isnt worth a .5% performance increase.
