Default Whats the Difference?

Whats the difference between proccesors that offer a 2.2ghz/1mb L2 cache versus ones that offer 2.2ghz/4mb L2 Cache, most directly in question, intels dual core 2 duo processors versus amd's x2

more l2 is better, but c2d is better than x2, i think

Having more cache is good, because cache is basically the place your pc reserves stuff that other proccesses cant use. ipso facto, more speed.

this doesn't apply to amd because they have an on die memory controller so although they have less memory it is more efficiently utilised so having more isn't always better just like ghz
