Yes. It start at Core 0 and goes to Core 3. So it shows 4 cores in the BIOS, it is just Windows isnt showing them if they are active.

What board do you have? Maybe a BIOS update will make it work properly.
*edit*
re-read your specs list.
Apparently there's a modded BIOS for that board (Biostar 785GE)

Intel Q8200 Quad Core 2.33ghz LGA 775
Asus P5QL Pro Motherboard
4gb DDR2 800 RAM
4 HDDs - 500gb, 500gb, 250gb, 250gb
Nvidia 9600GT 512mb PCIE-16 2.0

I have considered upgrading certain parts of my computer, especially after reading about i7 and all of that garbage. But I can play any game I like, I can run multiple operating systems virtually in Virtualbox with no lag on my computer, it runs as a constant backup server and file server, and yet I have had zero issues with bog downs.

That kind of made it a null point to dump any more money into my system, so I'm going to keep trucking along with what I got until I have a solid reason to beef it up.

It's nice to know you're not limited to the old MMX anymore.
