a 1gb 8600gt???

They really have that?

We'll ****, it does exist. How does that thing run? Did you try comparing it to the regular 8600 gt. Because if it performs like the 8800 gt 1gb version compared to the 512, then oh well :/.

haha, yes they do exist, and they dont do any better than a 512.

EDIT-jk, i dont know, I was thinking 8800gt 512 vs. 8800gt 1gig. my bad.

Ah... if i didn't no any better i would buy one too... But i just know from other people that those 1gb cards that are not 2 cards strapped together don't perform very good :/

sli is needed if you play 1920x1200 and wanna play crysis!! and upcoming games!!

which is why i'll be buying a SLi/Tri-Sli/Quad SLi setup in a month to a month and a half

i'll for sure have a SLi machine by the 11th of april

weather it be 1 9800gx2, 2 8800gtx's, or 2 9800gtx's

i'm leaning more towards quad SLi in the future though.. so most likely the 9800gx2

good choice, but I hear those 9800 gtx's can OC like mad. and they shouldnt be nearly as pricey as the gx2. I say you go with two of those, then, later down the road try to aquire two gx2's. I think the price should drop soon. Especially once the 4xxx series hit the market.

i dont really wanna go tri sli way at all.. cuz then i wouldnt be able to get an x-fi

i dunno, i want it, but the same time i don't.... i may pick up an 8800gtx again... i found a deal for 290

another 8800gtx? jeez they are still so expensive. I mean.. I have been suggesting 9600gt's all day long. so go for some of those that is my card of the day
