Well, thats true, when you buy a computer you need to make sure that the computer has what you need, and get rid of what you don't. My father has about the same computer, but for what he does its fine.

* LANing PC as I don't like moving my main rig. The reason why there is handles on the top of the case
* Watching DVD / DivX or Listening to Music while playing MMORPGs
* Large Downloads / P2P / Bit Torrent
* DVD Authoring

The magority of this computer was donated to my by one of my house mates a few years back as he was not able to take it back home with him.

The Logitech Speakers was a screw up at one of my suppliers ends as I order 1 set of speakers, and instead they send me 1 sealed box (2x sets) speakers, and only invoiced me for the one set.

HARPER'S MEDIA CENTER

AMD ATHLON 1300 @ FSB 266
However the motherbard detects it has a Athlon 1000 @ FSB 333
Modded Thermaltake Volcano 10 HSF
Modded this HSF with a Cooler Master 80mm Smart Fan as appose to the stock 60mm fan that comes with the Volcano 10.
Gigabyte 7VM400AM-RZ Motherboard
512MB Ram @ FSB 400 Hynix Chip Set
Seagate 120Gb with 8Mb Cache ATA Hard Drive
Asus GeForce MX-420 64Mb Video Card with TV Out
Lite-On DVD Drive
Sound Blaster Live 5.1 (Model SB0060)
Moded Tsunami Desktop Case with 250 Watt PSU
Cut a hole and installed installed a mesh filter right above the HSF for extra air flow. Since then the PC runs much quieter.
Windows Media Center
Logitech Cordless Keyboard & Mouse

Konka 86cm TV

This computer is purely there so I can watch Dvix, OGM and MKV on my TV. It's also connected to internet too.
I also use it to play ROMs

Most of this computer was scrapted together from recycled parts from other abandoned computers that were lying around in the work shop. About the only thing that I actually paid money for on this one was the Ram and Keyboard.
