What to upgrade now

Im planning on building a new comp end of summer, hopefully more new stuff come out so prices go down

and which will be better do you think in your opinion?

Most of us will say Nvidia beacuse their currently the best

With a budget of $1000, don't even think about the newest graphics cards, because just one will take half of your budget easy.

The build Diablo posted is good. You can substitute other brands for the memory, hard drive, burner, and graphics card in you wanted. Or, you could gut the additions you have put into the Dell (burner, possibly memory) to save a little cha-ching on the front end, and upgrade later.
