Question What up with the 6800????

Why do you guys keep saying the 6800 is the best? The X800 looks a lot (or a little) better.

Ah, another 6800 vs. X800.... The 6800s are more future proof than the X800s, as they feature PS3.0. The X800XT P.E. is a pretty good card, but doesn't match the 6800 Ultra or even the 6800GT in many cases, especially in Doom 3. The X800 Pro has only 12 pipes instead of 16 and therefore has crippled performance.

Lol, the X800 Pro being crippled with 12 pipes. Sad but true.

I personally prefer nVidia over ATI.

This is likely to occur. In fact, Nvidia's SLI technology will probably be the only thing that can compete with ATI's R520 core at the start. Nvidia will then have to rush out a new core much like ATI did with the X800s to compete with the 6800s. So I think there is a pretty good chance that ATI will be making a comeback.
