Default what should I get?

what would you suggest for some harddrives for my motherboard

MSI K8N Diamond Plus Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD Motherboard

because im not sure what it supports as far as SATA 3gb/s, ATA100 and w/e (or if it makes a diff)

7200rmp 250gb around or under $100 and 80gb

Normally if i go to the store and buy a hard drive i don’t have to worry about those things, but w/e

alright i went to the manufactures site and this is what it will support.

An IDE controller on the NVIDIA nForce4 SLI chipset provides IDE HDD/CD-ROM with PIO,
Bus Master and Ultra DMA133/100/66 operation modes.
- Can connect up to 4 IDE devices

so that means i have 4 IDE/ IDE Ultra133/100/66 drives?

and NV RAID supports 4 SATA II ports(SATA 1 to 4). Transfer rate is up to 300MB/s.
¬ē Silicon Image's SATA RAID supports another 2 SATA II ports. (SATA 5 and 6)
- Transfer rate is up to 300MB/s.

sooo that means i have 4 SATA II or SATA 3gb/s ports and another 2 for RAID?

also which of these is fastest?

last question, hard drives come in all of those connections, what do optical drives come in?
