Default What are the latest nVidia drivers?

Is it 77.72?

Also, how do i update them if they are not up to date?
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Step 1 is obviously graphics driver, but what about step 2? Ive got a 6600GT.

there's 77.76 beta now
the forceware drivers have a setup.exe, so it's very straight forward

There is a beta for nVidia Forceware 80.40 Drivers. As for the other question it is ok. Just remember that being a Beta it might have some bugs in it that still need to be worked out. It might make a few things act funny. If you are not sure or feel safe running a beta driver then i would just stick with the official drivers released from nVidia.
