Aaaah, it was a program that comes with most computers, but for some reason I couldn't find it on my laptop, and hadn't known about it on my Desktop for quite some time.

Now I know, about copying: Right click properties, find where the file is and copy that into "run". Then you won't just copy the shortcut or whatever.

Openoffice.org is free. Office is not free.

Openoffice.org works. Office works.

I see no reason to break the law, or spend $450, when you can download Openoffice.org for free.

Abiword and Openoffice are perfectly fine for writing a paper, although I usually just write my papers in programs like Gedit, or TextEdit, or Wordpad.
