Let me know if you think any of these don't fit together or such hardware is a waste. This total comes out to be 1.5k in Canadian so about 1.1k in USD.

Looks pretty good. If you can afford it though, upgrade to a Socket 939 motherboard with a Socket 939 version of the CPU you have picked out. Get the Asus A8V Deluxe mobo or the Abit AV8 to go with your socket 939 CPU.
 
i have a question though. why is the two boards you just suggested have basicaly the sme chipset name? a8v/av8. kinda funny if you ask me! lol
 
my suggestion is dump the seagate and get a better hd. If funds support it , look into the Maxtor line, i find that they will give more gig for the buck and a better warrenty.

nvd fn by ...good question , different manufactures i guess.
