Default what to do when you run out of sata ports?

I have run out of sata connections on my motherboard. My tower is the haf x and I am running 5 hard drives. add in two hot swapable bays and a fron panal sata connecter and I am maxing out the 8 ports my motherboard offers. However I would like to have some 5.25in bay accessories and such.

So how do I get more connections? are there like splitters that will let me use two thing on one connection for things I dont need speed for?

thanks!

You'll want something like this. First has three SATA ports, the second has four. You can get more expensive ones if you need more.

$25 - Newegg.com - SYBA SY-PEX40045 SATA II (3.0Gb/s) 1:2 (2x1) Internal SATA II Port Multiplier
$35 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16816132017

Ofc you need a spare PCI-E slot on your motherboard for one of these. I think there are still versions around for PCI slots in case all your PCI-E are taken up.

Yeah, there are PCI and PCI-X cards, too. Just a normal controller card.
