My friend has a Gigabyte Socket 757 mobo and is very happy with it. The addition of PCI-express makes it nice. I say go for it. Motherboard manufacturers, as long as you buy from a reputable company such as Asus, Abit, MSI, and Gigabyte, don't really have too dramatic of effect on performace.

Do not go for that board! If you are an overclocker or not, that is not the best board to buy. That board has an HTT lock which is 4x or 1600 instead of 2000. Secondly, that boards cripples socket 939 performance...you may as well get a 754 if you want that board...that board is not a good overclocker. Lastly, notice there is no such thing called nVidia nForce4 4x. This is because it is a vanilla chipset...it is a crippled version of the standard nForce 4 chipset. The chipset is crippled in an attempt to incorporate all useful features into a cost-effective board creating a disaster for an overclocker.

Yeah, listin to MegaDeth, also dont get anything Gigabyte, besides their top of the line video cards. All new 939 boards cost the same. So getting a better one dont hurt. Stick with Asus and Abit with mobo's.
