I have a Windows98 desktop and a Creative WebcamNX installed. Been playing with it for 2 weeks and still no luck with it. Software installed twice, deleted all and re-installed. Camera detected in scanners/cameras icon in control panel but when attempting to use in its own program or for Yahoo Messenger as I'd really like it for, it states that device either not connected or is being shared? In Yahoo messenger when clicking on start my webcam, it states computer has performed an illegal operation and closes the messenger and all out. I am not very computer literate, but I've checked both ports, thought i needed to change the bios though had no idea how to go about it. camera is detected now but there's a yellow exclamation point as well in the systems device manager section of control panel. Can someone help me? Much appreciated.
