AMD or Intel??? i gonna make a computer and im not sure which type of CPU to choose. tell me the pro's & con's of AMD & Intel. I dont know a lot about AMD!

AMD is better for gaming, while Intel is better for business computing and video editing.

Although Intel is better for big apps I would still go for AMD unless the Intel supports Hyper threading or its a dual CPU system. I wouldn't mind waiting a few extra minutes.

Yeah I think the Intels can handle the bigger apps a little better cause they have the higher GHz mainly because I BELIEVE it's due to they have big ass thick pipelines for the information...BUT...the AMD chips are designed so that they do more instructions per clockcycle than Intel...that's why you can have a 2.2GHz AMD chip compete with a 3GHz Intel.....intel is getting pretty expensive and it's like they got a big head or something like they are the sh!t....so in my opinion AMD is a great CPU to go with and has wonderous OC'ing potentials if you get something like the 35w 2400+ XP-M......the M stands for Mobile..yes thats right....mobile.....it's just like the 2400+ XP.....except it's...well...mobile lol thats the cool thing the mobile will fit into your desktop because they are both Socket A. Since it has a lower wattage (about half of what a normal CPU is) it'll be cooler and have lower temps and make room for easy OC....if you're at all interested in OC'ing that'll actually have a good effect. The two best AMD Chips in listing of the best first is:

35w 2400+ XP-M
2500+ XP

The multipliers are locked on the 2500+ unless you get lucky and get a chip that was made before week 39 in production...the mobile....are all unlocked hence another reason why it makes a good chip for OC....sry for the lack of intel info, but I don't know too much about intel and an AMD Advocate myself

Well, you already know my answer, having posted in many of your threads, but for this thread's sake, I love Intel. I have said this before somewhere: "my first AMD was my last AMD", no more for me, unless I get a FX 64 uber whatever.

I too agree. I like both chips..it doesnt really matter... but if my porn movies would start to bog down then maybe I would do more research..lol.
