My moms computer is having some serious ailments, mainly going extremely slow in stuff. When she first turns it on in the morning, it will restart as many as 10 times (sometimes by itself, sometimes it freezes) before it will remain stable and render itself operable. Can anyone tell me why?

I once got an error about the virtual memory, saying it was extremely low. It actually was followed by the rainbow screen I earlier mentioned. This has happened tons of times, but now it is just a rainbow screen and random restarts. The hard drive is nearly empty, and the paging file isnt nearly half of the size of the alloted space for the virtual memory.

Can someone help me out?

Sys Specs:
Sony Vaio
Pent. 3 800 MHz
192MB RAM
DVD drive, CD-R drive

Nothign extreme, just the factory stock computer, just with added RAM.

Just the normal single post beep, signifying everything is copasetic.
