Default Video Test

I have 2 sticks of ram in my computer... 512 in all.. i took one out looked at the brand and everything to get a new one. when i put it back in i smelled it burning. (my dad shocked it when he touched it i think) anyhow i took it back out and i kept the good ram in.. when i turned on my computer the moniter said that it was working and to check the wires.. i was like why would that matter i didnt' touch the wires.. before when it was working. Now i switched the video card and it still doesn't work.. any ideals? plz ne help is appreciated.

I don't think your dad touching the RAM would affect it.
Today electronic components are not sensitive to shock anymore.

Did you happen to pull it out of the slot when the PC was on?

no the one that isn't damaged is still in it was never taken out so it should still work... so i have no idea what happened =(
keep posting if u have ne ideas.. idc if its stupid.. worth a try kus my crzy computer is evil to me... trust me
