Video Card Suggestions!!!

Upgrading with my video card... FS have this two cards on sale
ATI 9600xt AIW $200
FX 5500 OC $80,

Just wondering if there is a big performance difference between this two? is it worth the $100+ for the ati?

I don't play game very often, but would like to try far cry, BF and HL2!

i would go with the 9600XT because its considerably better than the 5500 even if it is "overclocked out of the box" and you would be foolish to use the 5500 if you wanted to ply farcry and HL2.

the 9600xt is a very nice card and overclocks fairly well
