Default Video Card Power Supply

When the Video card requires 300+ Watt Power, is 300 Watt PSU enough or does it need more than 300+ to run at normal speed?

P.S. Why does 6600GT need 350 watt and 6800(none) need 300+ ? Does that mean 6600GT > 6800?

Thanks alot!

Some graphics cards, like the high end 6600's and 6800's suck up a lot of juice powering fans, chipset and memory. If you want to get one of these high end cards, i suggest investing in a 400+ watt non-generic power supply.
