I have recently finished my computer and have tried no overclockingo on it. My computer will start up and everything is normal and fine until I try to run a game. During which the screen will mess up and basically go crazy. The video card I am using is an ATI Radeon 9600xt 256mb card. The driver is CATALYST ver. 4.8 (which I believe is up to date. The links below are exact pictures of what I see when I attempt to boot any gameusing 3D acceleration (havent tried games without but Im assuming it wouldnt have that affect).

If anyone can help me out and tell me if this is an issue I can resolve, and if so how, or if this requires repair or return to ATI I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

actualy does it do that in that game ONLY? or have you tried other games... I have seen this happen to people who were missing files in there game directory such as textures. But me on the other hand ihave a radeon 9600 xt 256 mb card and mine works fine. But yes it does look defective lol

Yup Defective....::coughcoughatisuckscoughcough:: ::RING::.........oh hey cool my defective 5700 replacement is here...co0

Heh, I like ATI but anyways, ya Ive tried both Doom 3 and Call of Duty and it does it on both. Bah this has been the most problem filled compuiter ive ever built.

When you have a defective card, contact ATi. They will send you a new one completely free of charge in 2 weeks.
