video card install help

i though this was going to be easy. for the last 2 hrs I haven't been able to plug in my video card.

f'n indention on the left side of the card will not line up with the pci slot no matter how many times i try. off by a centemeter pressed against the edge as far as it will go, with my monitor plug in looking lined up perfect on the outside, but it still wont line up inside.

Any tips?

Are you positve its not an agp card or board?

nevermind, its in now.

their was a metal layer around the case, that I didn't see that I really needed, when I took it out it gave me the centimeter than I needed to line it up.
