Im thinknig about what vid card to get for a ne comp im building.

The difference from a 6800 to a 6600 pricewise is pretty big
So im wondering if its better to go 6800 and get a lower processor or go 6600 and get a little better processor?

Also how much better is an ATI All-In-Wonder 9800 Pro 128mb compared to a 6600?

Will 6600 run everything fine ?or do i really need to go for the 6600?

PS: off topic but, whats good RAM to get thats not to expensive, im thinking 1gb PC-3200 RAm, which is best brand?type?

Thanks :D

ok, #1 6600GT kickz 9800PRO'z @$$.
#2. Get the 6600GT and a better proccessor like the AMD 64 3200+ because if you get a 6800 and a sucky processor, your pc can't take advantage of the card because the processor does a lot of work for games and rendering too.
#3. 6600GT will run every game on 1280x1024 fine, if you have a processor like 2500+ or better.
#4. Quality, not quantity, so get DDR400 "Corsair" >>XMS<< (this one 's a biggy) and if you can't afford 1GB of that just get 512 because as long as it's fast ram, 512 is GOOD!! ;)

for the video card, the 6600 will definately be better than the 9800. it's a later and more advanced card

for RAM, would suggest 1GB PC3500 from Kingmax, it is fast RAM but not expensive (compared to other RAM)
latencies do barely anything in today's RAM also

Do you really need to spend all that $$$ on more expensive RAM? Value stuff should be fine as long as u dont overclock it.

eVGA, and the 6600 GT is an immense improvement ove the 6600, and its not that much more expensive.

those are good brands

btw, don't get the regular nongt 6600 if you're planning on it because the regular 6600 is a waste of money

don't try to save the extra $50 getting a cheaper 6600 non-gt because you'll later regret that you got a crappy card
