Default video card frequencies

I am somewhat disturbed by what I read while surfing newegg the other night so i have one question to ask.
is the evga gforce 6800 256mb video card better than the evga 6600 GT 128mb video card?
I ask this question because the 6600 GT's clock ans mem speeds are way higher the the 6800's + it's way cheaper ==> $172 / $289
help w/ this plz

6600GT > 6800
6800GT > 6600GT

Actually, even the 6800 beats the 6600GT, but might not on "performance per dollar" analysis.

You cannot just look at core frequency, RAM speed and pipelines make a big difference. The 6800GT is a BIG jump over the 6600GT.

6800 barely does. Not worth the extra $. Go with the 6600gt or the 6800gt. End of story.
