. This is my parents comp that im planning to take and trade for my intel. What mobo do u guys think i should get for under 200 to use with it, also do you guys think I should uprgrade the processor too, to play games like COD2 and HL2, CSS. Thks, also if not, what 6800 gt 256 do you recommend, asus or bfg or any brand that is a good deal.

Get an eVGA 6800GS. Its basically the same card, only slightly "slower." Its a much better deal at less than $200. You can overclock it to the GT performance with ease.

Yes the 6800GS is a lot cheaper and reliable brand.

Hmm, do you guys really think its better to get the evga 6800gs rather than the asus 6800gt? Also would you think it would be fine to use the amd 32000+ with it. What mobo do u guys think i should get for a decent price for good performance. Last, would it be better to get and sli rig with two 6600, what mobo should i buy for it then?Thanks any help aprreciated.

I would go with the 6800GS since its cheaper. It will run fine with the 3200+, I don't really like XFX cards cuase my friend owns one and has problems with it. You should go with eVGA.

i wouldnt recommend the dual 6600GT. for starters, most games don't even support SLI. the ones coming out that do support it, you'll need more than dual 6600GT to really make a difference.

Keep with just one 6800 gs, its much better than 2 6600's. The one that Vybuni recommended is great since its from a very good brand and its a really good deal. 6800 gs' perform about on par with the 6800 gt's, but can oc better. - charlie
