Default which video card?

hi i love to play games and am going ot buty a new mobo and gpu ive already got the mobo picked out but the gpu i have mixed feelings on.
im looking for a pci-e card somewheres between the price for 100-120

i really dont want to spend 160 for the 6600gt but the two i have narrowed it down to is the

x600xt and the 6600
ive heard that if you install difernt drivers for the x600xt you can actually get much better performance out of it and im probably going to overclock it neway.

now i know that 6600gt is far better than the x600xt but not to sure about the 6600. any info would be much appreciated.

If it says it does, then it does.

I think they assume that no Socket 478 motherboard uses PCI-E. You should have no trouble using a PCI-E card with socket 478 as long as the mobo supports it:

It looks like the 6600 edges out the X600XT by a little bit:

The x600XT needs PCI-E

And spend the extra 30$ for the 6600GT it's nearly doubble as fast as the 6600
