Video Camers for a Web Camera..

Hellow everyone..

A while ago, a bought a Video Camera hopeing to Use it with the Laptop, this Computer me Main one.. But have Never gotton it working.. Does anyone know how to get it up and Running with the Computer..

Am Running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1.. And the Camcorder is a Vivitar, Model 508.. Only bought it because it was a 5MP..

Av got the USB Cabel and everything that come with it.. Had it wired to the TV, but still yet to figure out how to Use it with the Laptop..

The Laptop am Useing is a Lenovo G550, and has a built in Cam of its own.. Dont know how that would affect it tbh like, have a Seprate Cam.. Basically just for better Quality..

What did you try to get it to work? Did you install drivers? Did you install its own software that came with the camera?

No Drivers came with the Camera, but their was Softwere, but the Softwere as to utilize it as a Web Cam dosent seem to have the Capabilitys.. Av looked on the Vivitar Web site and their dosent seem to be any for that Model.. But its got is abit Baffeld as their is a USB Cabel Included..

Windows, this is before SP1 didnt Recodnize the Device.. Havent Tried Installing it Since SP1 was Installed but the Reason av mentioned it cus a was thinking about byeing something more up to Date..

Do you think its a Case of haveing the Right softwere to be able to Use it as a Cam..
