what happens when i disable video accelleration? will videos play faster? will it screw up my video card?

It will play faster if you have an older pc that has old hardware unable to handle video acceleration. If what youre doing requires 3D then I would probably keep it enabled but I believe you can adjust how much acceleration you want to use.

my video chipset is an intel 845 64 MB on my mobo. Is that good enough to be watching music videos downloaded off limewire? Sometimes it lags up.

that includes things like mice, keyboards, mousepads, monitors, etc? On my new dell i bought, the pheripherals on it are very crappy.
