Default vid card question

A couple days ago, i was fooling around with my pc and decided to install my old 9600xt, ( i had a 9800 pro in there at the time) and to my suprise, it an counter strike:source and half life 2 an average of 30 more fps better, so whats the deal here? i dont know, but looks like i wasted a helluva lot of money on the 9800.

You must have a really buggy motherboard. The same thing heppened to me, accept the slower ATi card ran 20fps faster that the TNT2 i had. And the ATi card only had 4mb of video ram!! :amazed:
