i have a ge force 5700 ultra and a 1.7 ghz.. also a 512 ram.

I was wondering which i should upgrade.. since some of the newer games are starting to slow down alot., far cry, doom3, and half life 2. which i would like to get but need upgrades for.

So which would you say i need to upgrade first? the video card or the processor, or ram ?

Ummmm, if you are wanting to play high-end games, as listed, then you will be better off with an AMD CPU. Intel leans over to the applications side.

well i could maybe pull off a 2.6 processor. but i noticed some motherboards themselves have good processors on them and cost almost the same as the pro. itself. also theres so many processors i cant figure out what to get. like two 2.6 ghz pros. but one cost 100 more than the other.

if u upgrade your processor u'l most likely also need to get a new motherbourd.

could you explain the mobo kit? also some processors on newegg dont even show ghz speeds which is kind of werid all it shows are front bus speeds.
