have you already got your CPU?
I would reccomend getting a socket 939 motherboard, with maybe an Athlon 64 3200+
but if you already got a socket 754 CPU I think the Gigabyte K8N Pro is the best socket 754 motherboard, it suports the full 1600MHZ FSB unlike most

Un no sorry i dont have a CPU jet but i have looked at te prices for a socket 939 mainbord CPU's and they are HEAVY

So do you mean that i must buy a socket 939 with an CPU socket 939 thats conna be pricey

Is the socket 939 that musch better then the 754 then?

The 939 has a much better upgradeability than 754. They are not gonna put out anymore cpu's for 754 or 462. Your best bet is 939 if you plan on upgradeing in the future. ALso get the Nforce chipset.

go for either Asus or Gigabyte
the Asus A8V is a descent board, one of the less expensive socket 939 boards
