I have SP, LP and SLP modes

which one would have the longest record time?

there is no timer on the recorder so i have to record throughout the day

SLP = Super Long Play (I think thats what it is), and it should give you the longest record time, but it will be lowest quality... Also, I think it is only 2 or 3 hours usually for SLP.

I use a VCR at work, because their security system is like that.

The T-120 tapes get 2 hours on SP, 4 hours on LP, and 6 hours on EP/SLP.
