Right I think I'm correct im thinking a USB port gives out 2.5watts of power?

Lets say I have a 4 port USB HUB plugged into one the USB ports on my PC.

Now I plug devices into this HUB. Do the devices receive 2.5watts or is the 2.5w split between the ports on the HUB...

2.5/4=0.625watts

Basically I'm wondering if devices will work as normal when plugged into a HUB or if some possibily won't work as well compared to being plugged directly into a port on the tower?

examples being USB light, USB cup warmer etc (yes I am a USB gadget addict..)

Ste has the right idea. I once had a 4-port USB hub that just had USB power, and when i attached 4 devices to it, nothing would work..
