Default USB or PCMCIA?

Ok, here's the questions guys. A USB cd rom drive or a PCMCIA cd rom drive. The laptops that i fix don't have any cd rom drives. And I need to boot from a cd. Which one do i need to access all the laptops, USB or PCMCIA?

I think this depends on your particular bios - some older laptops may have difficulties booting from a USB cdrom... If they support booting from USB - I would go with that. That way your not stuck with an external CD-ROM for your laptop - you can use it on your PC as well.

the laptops that i came across are mostly new. And mostly all of them are able to boot up from a usb. Just didn't know which one is better. Or which one is going to be more compliant.

I'd go with the USB CD-ROM drive.

Why are you double-posting this? You've asked this same question before. If you weren't satisfied with the answers, or had something else to say, you need to add that to your original post, not create a duplicate post.
