I'm lost!!!! and need help!
I have a Sony Vaio PCV-RS322 runing win xp home edition with sp1. The desktop comes with 3 usb 2 ports. The usb 2 connections were working fine until now. When I connect my high speed usb 2 external hard disk, the system is telling me that I am connecting it to a low speed port.
I checked and performed the system check with SiSoftware Sandra and have learned that somehow I lost the usb 2 controller. The mainboard is Asus P4Sd-VX and I did not do anything to the system. I have the latest bios from Sony and have uninstalled the usb controllers and allowed window to find it. The OS has no problem finding the new hardware but only registered the usb 1.
What is happening? Please help... BTW Sony is not much of a help once your system is out of warranty.
